- Women's Basketball:
- The Demon Deacons played a pair of games last week, highlighted by a five-point victory over SMU in Dallas.
- In that contest, Aurora Sørbye posted a new career-high with 18 points while freshman Milan Brown posted a double double with 15 points to go along with a team-high 10 rebounds.
- Returning to action this Thursday at Louisville, Wake Forest has earned its most conference wins since the 2022-23 season.
- The Demon Deacons played a pair of games last week, highlighted by a five-point victory over SMU in Dallas.
- Women's Tennis:
- Wake Forest returns to Winston-Salem this weekend for a pair of matches, first against Memphis on Thursday before hosting Liberty on Saturday.
- The Demon Deacons are 3-0 at home so far this season with victories over ETSU, Marshall and UNCG.
- The Deacs in their last outing fell, 5-2, to Old Dominion, as freshman Evie Oxford improved to 4-1 in singles matches this season, tied for most on the team with Sankavi Gowder.
- Wake Forest returns to Winston-Salem this weekend for a pair of matches, first against Memphis on Thursday before hosting Liberty on Saturday.
- Track & Field:
- The Demon Deacons competed in a pair of meets this weekend at the JDL Fast Track, starting off by participating in the Camel City Sprints on Friday, before finishing out the weekend at home on Saturday at the Camel City Distance meet.
- Freshman Annie Thorkell claimed her first collegiate victory in the women's long jump at the Camel City Sprints.
- The Nyhamnslage, Sweden, native recorded a personal-best distance of 5.85 meters to clinch first place in the event and move her into eighth all-time in Wake Forest history.
- Sophomore Savannah Simmons also placed in the top-10 in the women's long jump after logging a jump of 5.66 meters.
- Senior Casey Sullivan recorded a personal-best throw of 15.22 meters in the women's weight throw
- Freshman Annie Thorkell claimed her first collegiate victory in the women's long jump at the Camel City Sprints.
- The Demon Deacons competed in a pair of meets this weekend at the JDL Fast Track, starting off by participating in the Camel City Sprints on Friday, before finishing out the weekend at home on Saturday at the Camel City Distance meet.
- Women's Golf:
- The No. 7-ranked squad will open its spring slate this upcoming Sunday at the Moon Golf Invitational at Suntree, CC in Melbourne, Fla.
- The field features 17 total teams, with five ACC opponents including 2025 ACC Champion, Florida State.
- Returning to the Deacs' lineup will be sophomore Chloe Kovelesky, ranked No. 9 via Scoreboard after her outstanding fall performances. Alongside Kovelesky in the top-25 are junior Macy Pate at No. 14 and graduate student Morgan Ketchum at No. 17.
- This past month, Kovelesky and Pate received their invitations to compete at the Augusta National Women's Amateur this upcoming April.
- The No. 7-ranked squad will open its spring slate this upcoming Sunday at the Moon Golf Invitational at Suntree, CC in Melbourne, Fla.
- Women's Soccer:
- Wake Forest women's soccer and head coach Tony da Luz announced the addition of assistant coach Christine Nairn to the Wake Forest women's soccer staff this past Friday.
- Nairn comes to Winston-Salem after a year with the Crimson Tide and nine years spent in the NWSL. The Annapolis, Md.-native spent her collegiate career with the Penn State Nittany Lions, amassing three-time All-American nods and four-time All-Big Ten First Team honoree. The 2012 Big Ten Midfielder of the Year was additionally selected as a Mac Hermann Trophy Finalist that same year.
- Nairn earned her first international call up to the U.S. National Team after her standout rookie season in 2009, and continued to play with the squad until 2016. In 2010, she captained a U-20 team that reached the World Cup Quarterfinals in Germany. During her youth years, she competed on the U.S. Youth National Teams and made appearances in all six games to secure gold at the 2008 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.
- Wake Forest women's soccer and head coach Tony da Luz announced the addition of assistant coach Christine Nairn to the Wake Forest women's soccer staff this past Friday.
