WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest men's soccer has unveiled its 2026 schedule, highlighted by 10 matches at Spry Stadium and an exciting full slate of ACC and nonconference opponents.
Wake Forest will host a loaded ACC home slate this fall, highlighted by matchups against reigning ACC Champion SMU and ACC regular season champion Virginia. NCAA Tournament qualifiers Duke and Syracuse will also visit Spry Stadium, rounding out one of the league's toughest home schedules.
Notably, all four ACC opponents traveling to Winston-Salem finished inside the top seven of the conference standings in 2025.
In nonconference play, the Demon Deacons will welcome a strong group of opponents to Spry, including San Francisco, VCU, Loyola Chicago, UNC Asheville and Queens.
In total, Wake Forest's 2026 opponents feature a competitive mix of national contenders, traditional ACC powers and rising programs, continuing the program's emphasis on one of the most competitive schedules in the country.
"Each year we look to build one of the strongest schedules in the country and this year is no different," said head coach Bobby Muuss. "This group is excited for the challenge ahead and for the opportunity to compete in front of Deacon Nation at Spry Stadium."
Wake Forest will open exhibition play on Aug. 8 at Coastal Carolina before returning home to face Furman (Aug. 15) in the final tune-up ahead of the regular season.
The regular season begins at Spry Stadium on Aug. 20 against a tough San Francisco squad that won 10 games a season ago, followed by a second home contest against VCU on Aug. 23.
The Deacs then hit the road for a two-match trip, beginning with a trip to 2025 NCAA quarterfinalists Akron (Aug. 28) followed by a matchup with Bowling Green (Aug. 31).
ACC play begins on Sept. 5, as Wake Forest hosts Big Four rival Duke for a massive clash at Spry Stadium.
After a home midweek against USC Upstate (Sept. 8), which will serve as the We Are Wake Green Match, Wake Forest returns to conference action on the road at Virginia Tech (Sept. 13). The Demon Deacons currently hold a nine match unbeaten streak against the Hokies and have a 25-3-2 record in the all-time series.
The Deacs then return home for a marquee ACC clash against Virginia (Sept. 19) during Alumni Weekend before traveling to national finalists NC State on Sept. 25.
Wake Forest closes out the month of September hosting Loyola Chicago (Sept. 29).
October begins with another key ACC matchup against SMU (Oct. 2) in the Genna Wiley Memorial Pink Match at Spry Stadium before a road trip to Boston College (Oct. 9).
The Deacs return home for back-to-back nonconference contests against UNC Asheville (Oct. 13) and Queens (Oct. 20), sandwiching a Senior and Graduates Day ACC matchup versus Syracuse (Oct. 17).
Wake Forest concludes the regular season with two road matches at Elon (Oct. 24) and Clemson (Oct. 30).
