Camille McCoy Joins Deacs’ 2026 High School Signing Class

The Atlanta native adds to Wake Forest’s interior core of middle blockers.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Wake Forest volleyball program and head coach Jeff Hulsmeyer announced the addition of middle blocker Camille McCoy on Thursday. A native of Atlanta, Ga., McCoy will arrive on campus as a first-year student prior to the start of the 2026-27 school year.
McCoy is the fifth member of the Demon Deacons' 2026 high school signing class and eighth overall newcomer set to join the fall roster. She's now part of an incoming freshmen group that includes Emma Keeping, Lyla Stewart, Mattea Saunders and Ava Roddey. The Deacs have also inked three transfers over the last several months – Catherine Burke, Andrea Roman and Amina N'Diaye.

McCoy enjoyed success throughout both her high school and club career, consistently helping Eagle's Landing High School maintain a strong presence in the GHSA 4A division. Her defensive prowess led to a notable reputation as one of the top middles within the state of Georgia. Embracing a leadership role both on and off the court, McCoy has served as a captain for multiple teams and member of the Golden Eagles' Student Government Association executive board.

Personal
Camille is the daughter of Greg and Diqueta McCoy, in addition to having two older siblings – brother Caleb and sister Gabby, who currently plays for the volleyball team at Maryland Eastern Shore. Her father, Greg, competed for the NC A&T Aggies football team as a tight end during his college years.

She is a dynamic blocker as a middle and has a huge upside that we are looking forward to developing here. Camille is also a versatile attacker with the ability to attack as a pin hitter. She comes from an athletic family, as her older sister is playing collegiate volleyball right now and her father is a former football player at NC A&T. Camille is an outstanding student and a person of great character, fitting Wake Forest perfectly. She will arrive here over the summer and start laying the strength base she will need for the season with our strength and conditioning staff while taking her first classes at Wake."
