Wake Forest Men’s and Women’s Soccer Announces 2026 Fan Fest

The women’s squad opens its season with a cross-conference clash against LSU on Aug. 12, while the men face non-conference foe San Francisco on Aug. 20.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - With less than two months away until the 2026 season, the Wake Forest men's and women's soccer teams are excited to announce the return of Fan Fest on Sunday, July 26 from 5-7 p.m. at Spry Stadium.
This preseason opportunity is a free event, open to all members of the public and features fun and games for all ages including: inflatables, giant lawn games and concessions.
Demon Deacon fans will have the chance to get autographs and meet with athletes from both the men's and women's soccer squads. Members of the Jr. Deacs kids' club will have early access to Sunday's activities starting at 4:30 p.m. Those interested in signing up for the upcoming season can register now on the Jr. Deacs website, while auto-renewals for current members begin July 1.

Women's Soccer 2025 Season Highlights
- Wake Forest finished the regular season 10-4-4 with an 8-0-3 record at home.
- Additionally, the Deacs are a stellar 23-2-8 at home over the last three seasons.
- Wake Forest made its 24th appearance in the NCAA Tournament, with the last 23 coming under the helm of Tony da Luz.
- Three Demon Deacons earned All-ACC honors, highlighted by the All-ACC Freshman of the Year selection for Kylie Maxwell. Maxwell also earned a spot on the Third Team and Freshman Team, joined by redshirt-sophomore Valentina Amaral on the third team and freshman Allie Flanagan on the freshman team.
- The Demon Deacons equaled the longest home unbeaten streak in program history, tying the mark set just last season at 15 matches following a phenomenal 1-1 draw with No. 1 Notre Dame to close out the regular season home slate.
- In her rookie season with the Demon Deacons, freshman forward Kylie Maxwell showed veteran experience as she led the team with 17 points and six goals.
- Additionally, the Langhorne, Pa.-native recorded five assists, which placed her fifth in program history for single-season freshman assists.
- Redshirt-sophomore Sierra Sythe remained a standout piece of Wake Forest's backline, starting all 20 contests for the Deacs and totaling over 1,700 minutes on the pitch, the most of any player in the outfield.
- Sythe broke into the record book with her nine assists this season and wrapped the 2025 campaign sixth among the program for most assists in a single season.
- Between the posts, redshirt sophomore Valentina Amaral completed the regular season at fifth in the conference both with a .784 save percentage and 69 total saves. Additionally, Amaral recorded six shutouts, with five of them occurring on home turf.
- The Oviedo, Fla., native moved her to top-10 in program history in single-season saves and now sits at 81 on the year.
Men's Soccer 2025 Season Highlights
- Several incredible individual performances last season saw two Wake Forest players taken in the MLS Draft in addition to a homegrown signing.
- Tate Lorentz, who is returning to the Demon Deacons this fall, was the 26th draft selection under head coach Bobby Muuss since 2016 as he was selected by Montreal in the third round. Last season, Lorentz finished second on the team with six goals and five assists for 17 total points in his first season with the program.
- Standout Cooper Flax became the 14th homegrown signee for the Deacs over the last nine years, which leads the country. He finished his senior season with nine goals and seven assists, totaling a team-high 25 points in 17 starts.
- Harvey Sarajian became the fifth Wake Forest player selected in the top five under Muuss, joining elite company. Additionally, Sarajian is the 11th first-round selection during that span.
- In addition to Lorentz, the Deacs brought back multiple key pieces from last season including forward Jeffrey White (three goals, two assists), midfielders Jose Perez (three goals) and Joel Torbic (2025 Most Improved Player), and defenders Travis Smith and Daniel Krueger.
- The Demon Deacons finished the year with a 6-2-4 record at home, continuing to excel at Spry Stadium under head coach Bobby Muuss.
- Wake Forest is one just three programs in the nation with more than 100 home victories since 2015, posting 117 wins at Spry Stadium.
- The Deacs' 117 home wins since 2015 are 15 more than the next-closest program (Indiana, 102).
- Additionally, Wake Forest ranks No. 1 nationally in total victories with 159 wins since 2015, two more than any other program.
- The Demon Deacons will look to add to their ACC-best three conference championships since 2015 (2016, 2017, 2024) this fall.
