ARLINGTON, Texas – The Wake Forest baseball team will participate in the 2027 Amegy Bank College Baseball Series scheduled for March 5-7, 2027. The Demon Deacons are joined by DBU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Penn State and UCLA.
Held on the third weekend of the 2027 season, the 2027 Amegy Bank College Baseball Series will be played at Globe Life Park, home of the Texas Rangers. Every game of the tournament will be streamed on FloSports.
"We're really excited about playing in a big league park," head coach Tom Walter said. "It's an opportunity for our guys to live their dream, and the quality of competition is elite. There are Omaha caliber teams in that tournament and it will be a good early test for us."
"The Amegy Bank College Baseball Series continues to establish itself as one of the nation's premier regular-season college baseball events," said Jared Schrom, Senior Vice President of REV Entertainment. "The outstanding programs and passionate fan bases that return each year help showcase the sport at its highest level and create an exceptional experience for everyone involved."
The 2027 season marks the third year Amegy Bank will serve as title sponsor of two tournaments, although the 2025 tournaments featured four teams before moving to six-team fields in 2026. The Amegy Bank College Baseball Series will continue its commitment to supporting Shriners Children's, with a portion of proceeds from each tournament weekend benefiting the organization.
"Amegy Bank is proud to continue our partnership with REV Entertainment and the College Baseball Series," said Carlos Munguia, DFW Region President and CEO of Amegy Bank. "These tournaments bring together exceptional competition, passionate fan bases and a commitment to giving back. We are honored to support an event that creates lasting memories while making a positive difference in communities."
Penn State and Wake Forest will both make their first trips to Arlington. DBU has previously played four regular season games at Globe Life Field, but has not competed in a College Baseball Series tournament format. Ole Miss will enter the tournament following the program's seventh appearance at the College World Series and owns a 5-1 mark at Globe Life Field across previous appearances in 2021 and 2025. Mississippi State and UCLA both return for the second consecutive year after competing in the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series during the 2026 season, highlighted by a top-five showdown on the tournament's final day that the top-ranked Bruins won, 8-7, in 10 innings.
Matchups and game times for the tournaments will be announced at a later date. Every game of the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series will be streamed on FloCollege.
