Five Deacs Earn All-ACC Academic Team Honors

Wake Forest has now placed five or more players on the academic team for six consecutive years.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Five members of the Wake Forest women's tennis team were selected to the 2026 All-ACC Academic Team, as announced by the conference office on Friday afternoon.
Heidi Bulger, Nevena Carton, Sankavi Gownder, Evie Oxford and Kady Tannenbaum all earned recognition for the 2025-26 school year. This marks a sixth straight year in which the program landed five or more individuals on the league's academic team.
Carton received the honor for a fourth consecutive year, joining a group of four all-time Deacs to achieve the feat.
Wake Forest Women's Tennis Players with Four All-ACC Academic Selections
Two other Deacs became multi-time honorees, as Gownder earned her third All-ACC Academic Team selection, while Tannenbaum earned her second. Meanwhile, Bulger and Oxford were both named to the academic team for the first time in their careers.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative grade point average during one's academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.
