The seven-foot transfer from Germany is the latest addition to the Deacs’ 2026-27 roster.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest men's basketball has announced the addition of center Antonio Dorn. Dorn joins the Demon Deacons after spending a year at Virginia Tech, where he appeared in 24 games for the Hokies during his freshman season in 2025-26.
The seven-footer averaged 8.5 minutes per game and was one of the team's most efficient players, holding a 64.3 field goal percentage.
"Antonio is a large human being!" said head coach Steve Forbes. "I have been very impressed with how hard he competes and practices each day he steps on the court. He is a very good communicator on offense and defense. When Antonio establishes position in the post, he takes up so much space and puts the defense in a compromising situation. He protects the rim with his size, physicality and positioning on defense. We are very excited to have him in our program."
After making his debut at the 2025 Basketball Hall of Fame Tipoff in an overtime victory over Providence, Dorn logged his first collegiate points against St. Joseph's as he scored four points to go along with three rebounds and an assist in 11 minutes of action.
In early December, he logged a season-high 30 minutes at South Carolina while scoring eight points on 4-for-6 shooting. Dorn had one of his best all-around performances in Virginia Tech's ACC Tournament first round matchup, totaling eight points, seven rebounds, three assists and two blocks.
A native of Hamburg, Dorn spent two seasons with Bozic Estriche Knights Kirchheim in Germany's second division prior to his time at Virginia Tech. He averaged 9.5 points and 4.6 rebounds per contest in 2024-25 while registering double-digit scoring in 16 games that season.
Two of his top performances include a double-double of 16 points and 15 rebounds in February before collecting 22 points on April 26, 2025 against Dresden.
During his prep career, Dorn also played for Ratiopharm Ulm, helping the squad win the Basketball Bundesliga - renowned as the highest level league of professional basketball within Germany.
In 2023, Dorn competed for Germany at the FIBA U-20 European Championships.
