Deacs Sit in Third After Day One of Highlands Invitational

Two Deacs sit in the top-ten through two rounds.
WESTCHESTER, Ill.. – Through 36 holes of play at the Highlands Invitational, the Wake Forest men's golf team sits in third place at the Chicago Highlands.
Current positions are based on round two, which was suspended due to darkness and are subject to change following the completion of the round.
After a six-over first round, the Demon Deacons redeemed themselves in round two, going seven-under to finish the day one-under.
Junior Jorge Hao led the charge for Wake Forest on Monday, carding an opening round score of 71 (-1) and was within the top five on the individual leaderboard. In the second round on Monday, Hao scored a 69 (-3) after recording four birdies. Hao finished the day with a four-under and sits tied for fourth place.
In his Wake Debut, freshman Sage Bradshaw has been a consistent performer for the Deacs on Monday. In round one, Bradshaw recorded a 71 (-1) with three birdies. In the second round, he recorded a 71 (-1) with five birdies. Bradshaw sits tied for sixth place with a total score of two-under.
Playing as an individual, junior Nolan Harper recorded the best individual play for Wake Forest at level-par. Harper recorded seven birdies through 36 and is tied for 12th place.
Teams will play the final round on Tuesday, September 22 with tee times beginning at the conclusion of the second round.
