Bianca Rees-Gibbs Earns Second ACC Offensive Player of the Week Award

The freshman earns her second ACC accolade this season.
CHARLOTTE, N.C.– Freshman forward Bianca Rees-Gibbs has been named ACC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
The Bloemfontein, South Africa.-native recorded three goals in her first weekend of ACC play. She recorded a goal in her first ACC career match against No. 5 Duke on Friday night.
Returning to action on Sunday against ACC opponent No. 11 Syracuse, Rees-Gibbs found the back of the cage twice, both in the first quarter of the match.
Over the first weekend of ACC play, Rees-Gibbs recorded a 0.75 SOG%, after six of her eight shot attempts were on goal.
After the first five weeks of play, Rees-Gibbs leads the ACC in total goals, shots on goal, and points. She sits tied for third in the NCAA in goals per game.
