The Demon Deacons will look to build on the 6-1 victory over Duke on Saturday.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's soccer team returns to non-conference action Tuesday night as the Demon Deacons welcome USC Upstate to Spry Stadium for a 7 p.m. kickoff, which will serve as the program's annual "We Are Wake" Green Match.

The team will wear special green jerseys on Tuesday night in honor of mental health awareness and will be auctioned off in support of the Trinity Center. A Winston-Salem based organization, the Trinity Center is dedicated to meeting the needs of our community with the mission to improve lives by providing exceptional care with openness, hope and faith. Bidding is open now for the jerseys and will conclude at midnight Tuesday.

The proceeds from the auction will support Trinity Center's Financial Aid program, which provides low-cost therapy for people who are uninsured and underinsured. Fans are able to bid here.

The Demon Deacons enter Tuesday's matchup with a 3-1-1 record after opening ACC play with a commanding 6-1 victory over Duke on Saturday.

Wake Forest exploded for five goals in the opening 36 minutes before adding another in the second half, marking the program's largest offensive performance in ACC play since 2022. The Deacs have now scored 11 goals through their first five matches while allowing just four.

QUICK NOTES

Tuesday marks just the second all-time meeting between Wake Forest and USC Upstate.
- The Demon Deacons won the lone previous meeting, defeating the Spartans 1-0 on the road on Sept. 17, 1980.
- The 1980 contest came during Wake Forest's inaugural season and marked the first road match in program history.
Wake Forest enters Tuesday with an 11-4 goal differential through five matches and has outshot opponents 84-70.
The Deacs have scored 11 goals from nine different players this season.
- Wake Forest's 15 assists have come from 12 different players, while 13 different Demon Deacons have recorded at least one goal or assist.
- Nine Wake Forest players have multiple goal contributions through five matches.
Tate Lorentz and Jeffrey White lead the Deacs with six points apiece, with each recording two goals and two assists.
Saturday's 6-1 win over Duke featured five different goal scorers and five different assist providers.
Wake Forest has allowed just four goals through five matches, with two clean sheets and a 0.80 goals-against average.

DYNAMIC DUO

Tate Lorentz and Jeffrey White have emerged as one of the most productive duos in the ACC, with both tied for the team lead with six points through five matches.
The pair has combined for four goals and four assists this season, accounting for eight of Wake Forest's 26 goal contributions.
- They are also the only two Demon Deacons with multiple goals and multiple assists through five matches.
Lorentz has continued to build on a standout 2025 campaign, entering Tuesday with eight goals, seven assists and 23 points in his Wake Forest career, doing so in just 22 appearances (16 starts) in the Old Gold & Black.
White has been equally productive during his three seasons at Wake Forest, recording six goals and seven assists for 19 points in 62 career appearances, including 33 starts.
Combined, Lorentz and White have produced 14 goals, 14 assists and 42 points in their Wake Forest careers, providing a consistent source of attacking production for the Demon Deacons.
The duo was at the center of Saturday's 6-1 win over Duke, with Lorentz scoring twice and White recording two assists, including an assist on Lorentz's second goal.
Their production has helped headline an attack that continues to receive contributions from throughout the roster, with nine different players already scoring through five matches

DEFENSIVE SOLIDARITY

Entering Tuesday, Wake Forest has only conceded two goals over the last 425 minutes of action, including two clean sheets against VCU and Bowling Green.
- During that span, goalkeeper Jonah Mednard has impressed with 19 saves (.905 save percentage).
- For the season, Mednard has posted a .83 goals against average, nearly cutting last year's number in half.
Centerbacks Mason Sullivan (393) and Daniel Krueger (387) lead all outfield players in minutes and have played a major role in limiting clear-cut chances for opponents this season.
In front of the defense, Jose Perez and David Nguema have provided extra defensive support in addition to controlling the midfield throughout the season.
Both fullback positions have seen minutes split between Ronnie Garcia and Will Kuisel (LB) as well as Travis Smith Jr. and Copeland Berkley (RB).

NATIONAL LEADER IN WINS

Named the fourth head coach in program history prior to the start of the 2015 season, Bobby Muuss has guided Wake Forest to sustained success unmatched in the college game over the 12 years.
Since the start of the 2015 season, Wake Forest has collected 162 wins, the most in NCAA Division I men's soccer. The Demon Deacons are followed by Indiana (161), Clemson (153), Georgetown (151) and Stanford (145).
Wake Forest has also earned 119 home wins since 2015, 13 more than any other Division I program.
