No. 7 Demon Deacons Dominate Team and Individual Field After Day Two at the ANNIKA

LAKE ELMO, Minn. - Following the second round of tournament play at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate, the No. 7 Wake Forest women's golf team is 15 strokes ahead of the field and tops the individual leaderboard at Royal Golf Club.
With an impressive 276 (-12), the Deacs 18-hole score places it tied tenth in program history for lowest 18-hole score to par.

Wake Forest also tops the individual leaderboard, with freshman Benedicte Brent-Petersen and junior Chloe Kovelesky tied at seven-under-par. Freshman Havanna Torstensson sits one stroke behind the two Deacs in third place, while senior Macy Pate rounds out the top-10 at one-under.
The Demon Deacons lit up the scoreboard during round two in Minnesota with 24 birdies, totaling 46 across the two rounds. Additionally, Wake Forest has posted the cleanest tournament of all competitors, as they've recorded the least-number of bogeys and are one of two teams in the competition with a single double-bogey.
Brent-Petersen and Kovelesky tallied rounds of 68 to surge ahead of the competition, with Torstensson carding her lowest round at three-under behind the two in first.
Freshman Vidhi Lakhawala fired her best round of the tournament at one-under to move up eight spots and inside the top-25.
