'Chris has the potential to be a front of the rotation power arm. He missed most of last year and this summer with a back injury, but he is healthy now and is in great shape. Early in the season he will pitch out of the bullpen, but by the time conference play starts he should be a starter.'
2012 (Redshirt Freshman)
Appeared 12 times and made four starts on the mound ... Went 3-1 with a 5.40 ERA ... Struck out 28 batters in 28.1 innings of work ... Went a season-high 6.0 innings in a win over Georgia Southern (3/13), striking out a season-best six batters and giving up just two earned runs ... Picked up his first win of the season in 5.0 innings of work vs. Eastern Michigan (3/4) and struck out five batters ... Also earned a win vs. Charlotte (5/15), going 2.0 innings and striking out four batters.
2011 (Freshman)
Began the year as Wake Forest's starter before missing the last two and half months due to injury ... Made six appearances, five of which were out of the bullpen ... Recorded two saves ... Made his collegiate debut at LSU on February 20, pitching an inning of scoreless action and striking out two batters ... Earned his first career save against Minnesota on February 25 in an inning of work, striking out two ... Recorded his second save of the season in his next appearance against Georgetown on February 27 ... Ended the season with 5.0 innings pitched, eight strikeouts and a 5.40 ERA.
