Won six matches in straight sets during the spring campaign... Posted a doubles record of 5-13... Played with five different Deacon teammates (Iain Atkinson, Cory Parr, Charles Sartor, Jason Morgenstern, and Carlos Salmon)... Notched a huge doubles win with Carlos Salmon against #40 Nickolai Nielsen and Amit Inbar of #53 Maryland ... Fall 2007: Posted a 2-4 record in singles and 4-3 in doubles play... defeated Duke duo Dylan Arnould/Reid Carleton 9-8 with partner Steve Forman at the UVA Fall Invitational.

2006-07 (Freshman)
Handed South Carolina their first defeat of the season in doubles with Andrew Hamar winning 8-1 on February 14 at South Carolina... defeated defending national champions #8 Pepperdine 8-6 in doubles with Andrew Hamar on February 25 at home... took a three-set victory in his first ACC singles action against #51 Maryland on March 30 in College Park, MD... beat Charlotte opponent 6-3, 6-3 in first round of NCAAs in May...recorded a 6-4 singles record in his first semester as a Demon Deacon...went 1-2 at the UVa Fall Invitational with fellow rookie Jason Morgenstern...made it to the semifinals in the B-2 singles flight at the South Carolina Invitational with three singles wins...posted a 5-5 doubles record.

Brasseaux was the 100th-ranked junior nationally and the top player from Louisiana...a finalist at the ITF G-5 event in Ecuador in fall 2005 where he scored a 6-4, 6-2 win over Jose Zunino, an Ecuadorian who was been as high as No. 1138 in the ATP rankings...reached the quarterfinals at the Peru Junior Open...trained at Joey Blake[apos]s Top Notch Academy in Scottsdale, Ariz.
