Outdoor: Earned All-American Honorable Mention at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, placing 19th with a 2.10m leap ... Earned All-ACC First Team at the ACC Outdoor Championships, placing third with a 2.15m leap ... Matched his personal best at the NCAA East Prelims with a 2.18m leap ... Picked up a pair of wins at the Charlotte Invite and UofSC Open in high jump.
Indoor: Began the indoor season with back-to-back fifth place finishes in the high jump…Took first place at the Camel City Invitational with a 2.05m (6’8.75’’) jump.
2021 (Junior)
Outdoor: Placed first in the high jump in the first two events of the season while recording a new collegiate best 2.18m (7’1.75”) at the Virginia Invitational...Finished in the top three in four of the six events during the season while finishing fourteenth in the high jump at the ACC Championships.
Indoor: Jones took first place at the Hokie Invitational to begin the season…Set a new personal record in the high jump at the Tiger Paw Invitational after jumping 2.16m (7’1’’)...Ended the season with a first place finish in the high jump at the ACC Indoor Championships.
2020 (Sophomore)
Indoor: Placed second in his first event of the season…Notched his first ever collegiate event win after winning the Mondo College Invitational…Placed in the top-five in all seven events during the season while placing fifth in the ACC Indoor Championships.
2019 (Freshman)
Outdoor: Placed first at both the Raleigh Relays and at the Virginia Challenge in the High Jump… Set a Collegiate long Jump record of 6.30m at the HPU Vertklasse Meeting…Finished with four top-five finishes on the season and placed sixth at the ACC Championships.
Indoor: Competed in back-to-back meets to start his collegiate career...finished second in the high jump (1.98m) at the Wake Forest Invitational (Jan. 19)....took third in the high jump (1.95m) at the Dick Taylor Carolina Cup (Jan. 12)...Finished his first indoor season with four top five finishes in the high jump and placed twelfth at the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships.
