Bassett joined the Demon Deacon baseball program in 2021 and will oversee all day-to-day operations of the Wake Forest baseball program as well as coordinating all team travel and meals.

Prior to Wake Forest, Bassett was a member of the St. John's baseball program in a variety of roles. As a student manager during in 2017 and 2018, Bassett helped the Red Storm with their video operations as the team made back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances as well as claiming the 2018 Big East title.

Bassett became the Director of Player Development in In 2019, handling all scouting reports, video and planning of road trips before moving into the role of Director of Baseball Operations during the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

Bassett graduated from St. John's in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management before receiving a Master’s of Business Administration with a focus on Executive Management & Interdisciplinary Business in 2021.
