2019 (Junior)
Played in all 20 games and started 10… Had five goals on the season, scoring a career-best two goals against Stanford… Also found the back of the net against Syracuse, Appalachian State and Richmond… Added five assists for 15 points… Was the primary inserter on penalty corners… Took 12 shots with seven on goal… Connected on two of three penalty stroke attempts
2018 (Sophomore)
Played and started in 12 games before suffering a season-ending injury… Recorded three goals and was third on the team with nine assists, totaling 15 points… Was a primary inserter for penalty corners…Was 2-2 on penalty strokes on the year against Northeastern (Sept. 9) and Liberty (Sept. 30)
2017 (Freshman)
Played in 19 games and made one start… Made first career start in the team’s season opener at Iowa (Aug. 26)… Scored two goals and dished out one assist on the season… Delivered first career goal in 8-2 win at Appalachian State (Oct. 4)… Scored again in win at Davidson (Oct. 22)… Added first career assist at James Madison (Oct. 15).
HIGH SCHOOL
A varsity starter since her freshman year, Alexis Grippo brings experience to the Wake Forest front line as a forward. Grippo is the all-time leading scorer for the 2016 and 2013 Mid-Atlantic Prep League (MAPL) champion team, The Hill School. She was named to the 2016 Pottstown Mercury First Team All-Area and to the 2014 and 2015 Pottstown Mercury Second Team All-Area team along with earning MAPL First Team honors from 2014-16. Grippo currently plays alongside fellow recruit Sam Buzalewski for the X-Calibur Field Hockey Club. Before that, she played for the WC Eagles from 2013-2016 where her team was 2013-15 RCC and NCC Champions and 2015 Festival Pool Champions. Outside of field hockey, Grippo also plays ice hockey.
