JUNIOR SEASON
Began the season ranked No. 42 and finished the season at No. 123... was on the preseason No. 32 doubles team with Alexandra Hirsch... finished with a 21-11 singles record... went 17-16 in doubles... won seven consecutive singles matches over a three week span... Defeated five nationally ranked opponents during the season... lost against No. 24 Jackie Carleton of Duke 6-3, 6-4... most notable victories of the season came against No. 44 Christian Thompson of Notre Dame 6-2, 6-1, No. 54 Randi Schuler of Purdue 6-0, 6-4, and No. 65 Marianne Baker of Maryland 7-6, 6-4... garnered a 5-6 ACC record with wins over FSU, Virginia Tech, Boston College, Maryland, and Clemson... went 6-8 at the No. 1 spot in doubles with teammate Alexandra Hirsch in dual matches, 3-6 in the conference... was the preseason No. 9 ranked player in the region and was on the No. 6 doubles team with Alexandra Hirsch... finished the fall season with a 8-4 singles record... won the flight A singles at the St. Mary[apos]s Classic... played with three different partners in doubles and compiled a 6-3 record... playing with Hirsch, earned a 5-3 fall record. SOPHOMORE SEASON
Spent the entire year ranked in the top-100... closed the season ranked at No. 68 and reached as high as No. 57... named to the All-ACC team for the second consecutive season... finished the season with a 19-16 overall record, including a 5-5 mark in the ACC... played the majority of the spring season at the No. 2 spot, but also spent some time as the No. 1 singles player... closed the year with a 7-8 record at No. 2 and a 5-3 mark at No. 1... selected to participate in the NCAA Singles Championship and fell in the first round to Dianne Hollands, 6-1, 6-2... earned a preseason national raking of No. 64 in singles and No. 48 with doubles partner Karin Coetzee... went 6-4 in singles during the fall, including a showing in the round of 16 at the ITA Indoor Regionals. FRESHMAN SEASON
Named All-ACC and awarded the prestigious title of ACC Freshman of the Year...only the fourth Demon Deacon to receive the honor since its inception in 1994...finished the 2003-2004 regular season with an 18-13 record, going 3-4 in ACC play at the No. 1, 2, and 3 singles flights...twice was named ACC Women[apos]s Tennis Player of the Week in 2004...was named the ACC[apos]s Women[apos]s Tennis Performer of the Week after a 4-0 record in singles and doubles over the course of one weekend....finished the year ranked 101st nationally and reached as high as 70...teamed with Katie Martzolf in doubles for an 11-9 record and was ranked as high as 50 in March and 60 in April... finished the year with an overall doubles record of 17-14...captured the Flight A singles title at the Demon Deacon Invitational with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Virginia[apos]s Kristen James...defeated several players ranked nationally including 29th ranked Aniela Mojzis of UNC 6-1, 6-0, as well as 10th ranked Alicia Salas of Notre Dame 6-3, 6-1. PRIOR TO WAKE FOREST
Earned four letters at #1 singles for Anderson Highland H.S.... was named all-conference, all--district and all-state each of her four seasons... also named All-American her junior and senior years... captured a pair of Indiana State Singles Championships and helped Anderson Highland to a pair of team titles... participated in back-to-back Federation Cup[apos]s in 2002 and 2003... helped the 2002 Fed Cup squad to the championship, while the 2003 team finished second... won a national tournament in singles and captured singles championships at the 1999 CRC Club, 2000 Mid-Tac, 2001 and 2002 USTA Midwest Designated, 2002 MWTA Qualifier, 2002 USTA St. Louis Gateway and won the back draw at the 2001 National Open... singles finalist at the 2000 Jr. Girls Championships, 2000 Midwest Open and 2002 Copper Bowl, Davis was also a doubles finalist at the 2001 International Grass Courts... also a singles semifinalist at the 1999 CITA Qualifier, 2000, 2001 and 2002 Midwest Closed, 2000 USTA Midwest Designated, 2002 K-Swiss and a doubles semifinalist at the 1998 Ata National Championships and the 2002 USTA International Hard Courts.
