Paris Kea joined the Wake Forest women's basketball staff ahead of the 2022-23 season and serves as the Video Coordinator & Assistant Director of Basketball Operations.

During Kea’s first season working with the program, the Deacs tied the most since the 2011-12 season, defeated four NCAA Tournament teams including wins over two Elite Eight teams and grabbed 12 wins at home, the fourth-highest total in program history.

Kea, a former guard at both Vanderbilt and North Carolina, came to Wake Forest with high-level playing experience both collegiately and as a professional.

In 2019, the Indiana Fever selected Kea with the 25th pick in the WNBA Draft where she played in 11 games. During her rookie season, Kea averaged 2.6 points per game while shooting 55.6 percent from behind the arc. Ahead of the 2020 season, Kea signed with the New York Liberty where she suited up in 11 games, making five starts for the franchise. She ended the season with 6.9 points per game while also averaging 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists.

Her standout career with the Tar Heels included 2019 First Team All ACC and WBCA All-America Honorable Mention honors as a senior while helping North Carolina reach the NCAA Tournament.

Kea was the lone senior on the team, averaging 17.3 points, 3.9 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game. This included a historic performance in a victory over No. 1 Notre Dame where she became the fourth Division I player in the last 20 years to have a 30-point, 10-assist game against a ranked opponent.

As a junior, she averaged 19.4 points per game, the 10th highest figure in North Carolina history, leading the ACC with four games scoring 30 or more points. Additionally, she finished in the top five in the league in six statistical categories: minutes (37.4), scoring (19.4), assists (4.8), 3FG shooting (.405), steals (2.1) and 20-point games (14).

The Greensboro, N.C. native and Page High School graduate was a member of the 2014 USA U18 National Team that posted a 5-0 record and won the 2014 FIBA Americas Championship gold medal. She graduated from Page High School as the all-time scoring leader in program history and a three-time AP All-State selection while also being a McDonald's All-America nominee after averaging 24.2 points and 7.1 rebounds as a senior.
