One of the top golfers in Wake Forest and ACC history, Billy Andrade was named to the ACC's 50th Anniversary Team in 2002. Andrade helped lead Wake Forest to the 1986 NCAA championship.

A four-time All-ACC selection, he earned third-team All-America honors in 1984 and honorable mention All-America status in 1985 and 1986. Following his graduation in 1987, Andrade joined the PGA Tour in 1988 and has earned more than $12 million.

As of early July 2010, he stood 77th on the Tour's career winning list. He has won four PGA Tour events, the most recent of which is the 2000 Invensys Classic in Las Vegas. Andrade claimed back-to-back tour titles in 1991 by winning the Kemper Open and the Buick Classic. He has also emerged as one of television's top golf analysts.

Joining fellow Deacons Lanny Wadkins and Curtis Strange in the TV booth, Andrade has worked for ABC and ESPN. Andrade teams with fellow tour member Brad Faxon to run the Billy Andrade/Brad Faxon Charities for Children, Inc., which has donated more than $7 million to youth in Rhode Island and Massachusetts since its inception in 1991. The two men run the CVS Charity Classic and were honored in 1999 by the Golf Writers Association of America for their philanthropic work.

Andrade was inducted into the Wake Forest Sports Hall of Fame in 2004.
