Golf Finishes Second at Bell South Intercollegiate

CARY, NC - The Wake Forest golf team finished second in a 10-team field at the Bell South Yellow Pages Intercollegiate at the MacGregor Downs Country Club in Cary, N.C. The Cavaliers fired a 54-hole total of 914 (301-305-308).
Top-ranked UNLV barely withstood a charge in the last round by Wake Forest to capture the team title by one stroke. The Runnin Rebels posted a 298 in todays third round to finish with a 4-over par 868 to hold off the Demon Deacons. Wake Forest shot a 1-under par 287, todays low round, to finish at 869.North Carolina finished third (875) and Duke fourth (879).
UNLV sophomore Jeremy Anderson was the individual medalist as he fired a 6-under par 210 (67-72-71). Wake Forest's Todd Lynch finished second, two strokes back, with a 212 (71-70-71).
