Less than 48 hours after an upset of 25th-ranked Maryland in College Park, Wake Forest is back on the court this afternoon in another important ACC contest against the Seminoles. Florida State defeated the Demon Deacons earlier this season (January 22) in Tallahassee, 83-59. Adding to today's activities here in Joel Coliseum is a postgame ceremony honoring former WFU star Skip Brown, whose jersey (#15) is being retired by the school.

THE HEAD COACH - The ACC Coach of the Year in three of the last seven seasons (1991, 1994, 1995), DAVE ODOM is in his ninth season at Wake Forest. During the past eight years, Odom has built the Demon Deacon program into one of the most highly regarded in the country. The Deacs have won 20-or-more games five straight seasons under Odom and appeared in seven consecutive NCAA Tournaments. Only six other schools have longer active streaks of NCAA postseason participation. Odom's winning percentage at Wake Forest is an impressive 67%. The last five years, the Deacons have averaged 23 victories per season under Odom's guidance, finished no lower than third in the ACC regular season race, and reached the NCAA
