Coach's Comments
"My hat's off to Virginia Tech. It's a lot of pressure when you're on the bubble. We've been there. I thought Ben Hammond was outstanding in the second half and overtime. He made some big threes. They fought and fought and fought and fought and fought. I just thought our team was just so resilient. We've been like that, probably for the last month. Maybe we don't win every game, but we fight really hard. We had tremendous balance. We had seven guys in double figures. Omaha [Biliew] also had seven points on top of that. It was good to have Nate Calmese back. Juke [Harris] wasn't getting his tonight, but everybody else stepped up. He didn't have to carry a carrier, even though he made a big shot there in overtime. Myles [Colvin] got us off to a great start in overtime with a three and a two. Always like to get the lead. Sebastian [Akins] made some big time free throws down the stretch. Myles also made some free throws. Tre'Von [Spillers] as well. It was just a really good team effort."- head coach Steve Forbes
