BLACKSBURG, Va. - Robert O'Kelley scored 22 points, and Wake Forest held Virginia Tech scoreless in the final 3:39 Saturday, beating the Hokies 52-47.
Jermaine Kimbrough's jumper with 3:39 left to tie the score at 47 was the Hokies final points. Wake Forest (7-2) made 5-of-10 free throws down the stretch, while the Hokies (3-3) were 0-for-5 from the field, 0-for-4 from the line and turned the ball over once.
Kimbrough was 6-for-16 from the field, including 3-for-10 on 3-pointers, and 7-for-10 from the line. The Hokies, on the other hand, were a woeful 3-for-11 on free throws, while the Demon Deacons were 18-for-25.
Eddie Lucas, who was 4-for-9 on 3-pointers, led the Hokies with 13 points, while Brendan Dunlop had 10.
Both teams had more fouls than field goals: 14 field goals and 15 fouls for Wake, and 21 fouls and 18 field goals for the Hokies. Neither team shot better than 35 percent from the field.
