Men's Tennis Defeats Furman

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's tennis team defeated Furman 5-2 Sunday afternoon at the Indoor Tennis Center. With the win, Wake Forest improves to 8-7 on the year.
The Demon Deacons struck early to win the doubles point. Senior Jimmy Chou and Sophomore Andres Guzman dominated at No. 3, 8-2. Michael Berger and Johan Hansen won at No. 2, 8-6.
In singles action, Berger continued his spectacular play, winning at No. 2, 6-2, 6-1. Billy Gluck won in three sets at No. 3 and Lars Kabiersch won at No. 5, 7-6, 6-2. Hansen beat Gill at No. 4, 6-2, 6-1.
The Demon Deacons return to action Wednesday, March 25 when they visit North Carolina. Wake Forest's next home match is set for Monday, March 30 against Georgia Tech.
