No. 4 Demon Deacons Complete Sunday Sweep Over Louisville and Davidson

Wake Forest will remain at home for three more matches next weekend beginning with Virginia Tech on Friday, March 20 at 4 p.m.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The No. 4-ranked Wake Forest men's tennis team extended its home winning streak to 41-consecutive matches on Sunday as it defeated No. 42 Louisville and Davidson, both by a score of 4-0, at the Wake Forest Tennis Center Sunday.
The Deacs (20-2, 6-0 ACC) also extended their regular-season conference winning streak to 21 matches dating back to April of 2024 and have now recorded 122 ACC victories since the start of the 2013 campaign.
Additionally since 2013, Wake Forest has the most home wins (238) in the county and the second-most overall wins (376).
Wake Forest improved to 19-2 all-time against Louisville, including 14 wins in a row over the Cardinals dating back to 2013. Against the Wildcats, the Deacs are now 20-2 all-time in the series with 19-consecutive wins since 1983.
The Demon Deacons took the doubles point in both matches as they have now opened with a 1-0 lead in 11-consecutive matches and 19 times overall.
Of note, junior Luca Pow picked up two doubles wins on the day, one with Charlie Robertson on court two against Louisville (6-2) followed by a court three victory alongside Ariel Zauber over Davidson (6-2). The Englishman is now two wins from being tied for eighth in program history with 86 doubles wins.
Additionally, with his 6-1 win with freshman Dominick Mosejczuk in the second match, Suresh moved to just one win from being tied for fifth.
Career Doubles Wins - Wake Forest History
On court one against Louisville, Suresh, the No. 18-ranked player in the nation, picked up his third singles win of his 2026 spring campaign as he downed Walid Ahouda, 6-3, 7-5. This marked his 65th singles victory in a Wake Forest uniform and 40th in dual match play as he continues to cement himself as one of the all-time Demon Deacons.
Closing in on the top 10 in program history with 90 career singles wins, Pow improved to 12-3 this season with 6-3, 6-1 victory over Andre Steinbach (Louisville) on court two. He has now contributed to 175 combined singles and doubles wins over the last three years, the most out of any active Wake Forest player.
For the second time this weekend, freshman standout Dominick Mosejczuk clinched the ACC victory as he took down Hamza El Amine (6-4, 6-4). He is now a perfect 10-0 in singles this spring and became the fourth separate Demon Deacon with double digit wins.
In the second match, sophomore Joaquin Guilleme picked up his team-leading 14th singles win of the season, defeating Davide Procacci, 6-0, 6-0, without dropping a game.
Delgado followed with a 6-3, 6-1 victory on court four over Kai Villagomez, improving to 5-0 in singles this spring to go along with a perfect 11-0 mark in doubles.
Sophomore Cornelius Shalmi slid into the lineup and made the most of the opportunity, clinching the match against the Wildcats with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Connor Cole on court five. He joins Delgado with an undefeated 5-0 singles record in dual match play this season.
With nine matches left in the 2026 regular-season campaign, the Demon Deacons have compiled a 73-15 record in singles play while going 42-9 in doubles.

How It Happened (Louisville)
- Wake Forest seized early momentum in doubles as Luca Pow and Charlie Robertson jumped out to a 3-0 lead on court two while the other two courts remained on serve through the opening games.
- Dominick Mosejczuk and Aryan Shah broke to take a 3-1 advantage on court three as the Deacs began to pull away in the doubles point.
- Mosejczuk and Shah were the first to finish, closing out a 6-3 win on court three before Pow and Robertson clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 victory on court two.
- Wake Forest carried that momentum into singles, jumping out to early leads across the lineup as Robertson, Pow, Mosejczuk and Andrew Delgado all held at least a break advantage within the opening 20 minutes.
- Delgado set the tone early with a 6-1 opening-set victory on court six, while DK Suresh, Pow, Robertson, and Mosejczuk each claimed their first sets to put the Cardinals on their heels.

- Mosejczuk and Suresh were the first to finish, rolling to a dominant 6-1 victory on court one to put the Deacs within one win of the doubles point.
- Moments later, Pow and Zauber sealed the doubles point with a 6-2 win on court three, giving Wake Forest an early 1-0 lead.
- Guilleme carried that momentum into singles, delivering the most dominant performance of the afternoon with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep on court two to double the Deacs' lead.
