Women's Golf Team Eighth at San Jose State Tournament

FORT ORD, Calif.- Senior Alexandra Armas posted a round of 79 as Wake Forest recorded a team score of 324, 23 strokes better than their first round score, in the second round of the San Jose State Women's Golf Invitational in Fort Ord, CA on Tuesday. The Deacons moved up two spots to eighth place heading into the final round.
Armas is the only Wake Forest player that has been able to break 80 at the par 74, 6240 yards Fort Ord-Bayonet Golf Course. She is currently tied for 19th place.
Sophomore Stefanie Reynolds made the biggest improvement for Wake Forest firing a score of 80 in the second round after posting a score of 94 in the first round.
First round team leader Tulsa fell to fourth place as Arizona took over first place after posting a round of 310. Heather Graff of Arizona and Jenny Chuasiriporn of Duke share the individual lead at 150.
The final round of the 11-team tournament will be played on Wednesday.
