Women's Tennis To Host Richmond

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's tennis team will open the spring season by hosting the Richmond Spiders on Sunday, Jan. 30.
The Deacons enter the spring season ranked No. 11 by the ITA. They are coming off a successful run at the ACC Indoors in Chapel Hill. Freshman Adria Engel, who is ranked No. 6 and has compiled a 23-3 overall record, won the singles championship. Engel and fellow freshman Bea Bielik won the doubles title and 1999 ACC Rookie of the Year Janet Bergman won the consolation bracket.
The match with Richmond is scheduled for 2 p.m. and will be held in the Wake Forest Indoor Tennis Center.
