Wake Competes At Virginia Tech Indoor

BLACKSBRUG, VA. - The Wake Forest men's indoor track team completed its first day at the Kroger Invitational in Blacksburg, VA today. Deacon junior Chris Justice placed in 15th in the preliminary 60 meter dash with a time of 6.94. Fellow junior John Stone completed the race in 7.01.
Jack Bishop posted a top-15 victory in the 5,000 meter event, placing 12th with a time of 15:37.45, while Todd Hertling finished in 16:03.04 for 23rd place. Joe Ladapo and Matt Udvari each ran in the 60 meter high hurdles, but neither qualified for the finals. Ladapo placed in 29th place with a time of 8.48, and Udvari ran the event in 9.00, good for 39th place.
As a team, Wake Forest finished 8th in the distance medley relay competition with a time of 10:05.70. In the men's triple jump, Demon Deacon Fabian Davis jumped 14.15 meters for 14th place.
The competition, held at Virginia Tech's indoor track, will conclude on Saturday.
