WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's tennis team is ranked 11th in the WingspanBank.com ITA rankings released today.
The Deacons, who open the spring season Saturday, Feb. 12, drop one place from their No. 10 ranking in last week's poll.
Wake Forest is one of three ACC teams ranked in the top 25 of the 75-team poll. Duke is ranked fifth this week, while Florida State is currently ranked 19th. Both teams were ranked in the same spots last week. Wake's opening opponent for the spring season, Virginia Commonwealth, is ranked 31st and have a record of 1-1. The match Saturday is set to begin at 2 p.m. and will be held at the Wake Forest Indoor Tennis Center.
