GEORGIA TECH HEAD COACH DANNY HALL
"I think that was a great ball game. That was an outstanding college baseball game with great competition on both sides. I thought both pitchers competed extremely well. I'm very proud of my guys. We hit some balls awfully hard for outs. I was finally glad to see some balls sneak through the infield and up some alleys. Once we got that 5-2 lead it seemed Corey Vance took care of business. He didn't give them anything to cheer about."
On fast start in the tournament:
"I think the only way Coach Hall is going to be happy is if we play for the championship and win it. We've won two games in this tournament, but we have a long way to go. I think our players feel the same way. You could probably say this about every coach and every player in this tournament. If you don't win it, you are disappointed."
On getting a complete game by Corey Vance:
"Any time you get in a tournament of this magnitude where you have to play a lot of games and a player gives you a complete game it is a great boost for your team. That was a real boost for our team. It gives our bullpen another day to rest."
WAKE FOREST HEAD COACH GEORGE GREER
"You saw two good pitching performances tonight. Matt Briggs pitched a whale of a game against Georgia Tech, the best hitting team in the country. Corey Vance pitched a great game. He beat us twice in the last six days. My hat is off to him because he did a great job."
Is there anything to be gained from your team's experience during the last two years?
"We lost a little bit different two years ago. That one was kind of ugly. We feel good about our team. We just need to come back out tomorrow ready to play."
