No. 12 Demon Deacons Set for Ranked Test at No. 16 Coastal Carolina

Sophomore Cameron Bagwell will make his fourth start in the midweek for Wake Forest.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – No. 12 Wake Forest travels for its first ranked matchup of the season, taking on No. 16 Coastal Carolina on Tuesday at Springs Brooks Stadium. First pitch against the Chanticleers is set for 6 p.m. ET.
The Demon Deacons and Coastal meet for the 51st time, with Wake Forest searching for back-to-back wins in Conway for the first time since the 2007-2008 seasons. Wake swept the home-and-home against Coastal for the first time since 2017, including a run-rule victory at The Couch a season ago.

Wake Forest enters the midweek riding a 15-game win streak, the longest since winning 15 straight during the 2012 season. On the flip side, Wake is 32-45 (.421) in the 77 games where opposing pitchers have had a longer outing.

Building on the previously announced 2027 Wake Forest football matchup with Notre Dame inside Bank of America Stadium, Wake Forest Athletics continues to strengthen its regional ties to Charlotte as the Demon Deacons baseball program will head to the Queen City to take on Clemson in a showdown at Truist Field on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
