CLEMSON, SC - Nathan Sisco, a junior from Lebanon, NJ, won the ACC Men's Cross Country Championship Saturday morning to lead the Wake Forest men's team to a second place finish. The Demon Deacon women took sixth place and were led by a strong individual performance from true freshman Anne Bersagel, who placed 13th overall.

Three Wake Forest men's runners finished in the Top 10 individually to earn All-ACC honors as Sisco finished first (24:23.5), Chris Estwanik took fifth (24:34.9)and Garick Hill placed 10th (24:52.9). Sean Nagorny finished 11th overall (25:02.6), Ted DeVos came in 18th (25:14.4), Eduardo Acosta placed 22nd (25:19.9), Philip Wiles took 26th (25:26.0) and Dave Barrett rounded out the Demon Deacon harriers with a 31st place finish (25:36.0) on the 8,000-Meter course.

Bersagel, who hails from Greeley, CO, led the Demon Deacon women's squad for the third time this season, finishing 13th on the 6,000-Meter course with a time of 21:57.3. Risa Rutland took 22nd (22:25.9), Courtney Lancashire placed 36th (23:05.2), Danielle Coon finished 38th (23:07.4), Kara Mullin came in 40th (23:16.0), Adralyn Wendel placed 45th in 23:30.7, Catherine Fortin-Major took 48th with a time of 23:56.1 and Denise Hefferin ran a 24:13.4.

Shalene Flanagan from North Carolina captured the women's medal and North Carolina State won both the men's and women's team titles. The Demon Deacon men's and women's cross country teams will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 10, when they travel to Greenville, SC to compete in the NCAA Regional Championships. The top two teams at regionals receive automatic bids to the NCAA Championships.
