WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women??s basketball team improved its record to 5-4 with a 76-46 victory over UNC Asheville on Tuesday in front of a season-high crowd of 4,198 at Joel Coliseum.
As part of ??Middle School Day?? festivities, 3,500 youth from Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools and surrounding areas attended the game.

??We knew we did not want this to be UNC Asheville??s first win, and we were pleased with our start,?? said Wake Forest head coach Charlene Curtis. ??The crowd with the middle-schoolers was great. We would love to have that kind of enthusiasm at every game.??
