WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – In the midst of the 2026 offseason, Wake Forest head women's basketball coach Megan Gebbia announced updates to her coaching staff on Friday.
Assistant coach Emily Stallings has added the role of Offensive Coordinator to her position while Nikki Flores is transitioning to serve as Chief of Recruiting and Operations for the Demon Deacons.
Teren Hart steps into a new role of Assistant Coach/Player Development and Recruit Experience Coordinator. Joey White is set to work as an Assistant Coach/Analytics and Scouting Coordinator within the staff.
"This staff restructuring comes at a good time with the recent changes in college basketball," said Coach Gebbia. "It puts us in a good position to prioritize on-court coaching and development while also maintaining focus on recruiting, especially when the season starts. Emily Stallings has extensive knowledge and experience running our offense, and I look forward to seeing how she continues to improve how we run motion. Nikki Flores already has an extensive list of recruiting contacts both domestic and international, and this new Chief of Recruiting role puts us in a better position to capitalize on her experience as a recruiter and skills as a relationship-builder."
Teren Hart | Assistant Coach/Player Development and Recruit Experience Coordinator
In his new role, Hart will focus on preparing Wake Forest student-athletes for practices and games in various ways. He will assist in all aspects of player development, including but not limited to on-court coaching, film sessions, and organizing development programs for the Demon Deacons. Hart will also continue to have a major hand in on-campus recruiting, assisting with the execution of recruiting visits and building relationships with prospective student-athletes. An additional responsibility includes managing a core of practice players for the Deacs to compete against.
Hart joined the Deacs as the Video Coordinator and Recruit Experience ahead of the 2024-25 season. He played a primary role in digital archiving and filming of practice and gameday video while also serving as a key member of game planning and recruiting.
From Coach Gebbia
"Teren has done great work with us over the past two years. He is an excellent communicator and has built strong relationships with both our current players and recruits. This past year in particular, he has focused on player development and individual sessions, and the improvement in the players' performances has been noticeable. The assistant coaching role just feels like a natural progression for him and I can't wait to see him continue to develop in this new role."
Joey White | Assistant Coach/Analytics and Scouting Coordinator
Now holding on-court responsibilities of coaching, recruiting and scouting, White will also continue to manage video and analytics for both games and practices while taking on a larger role in game-to-game scouting and preparation. He will also be in charge of all sport software education and implementation, including maintaining the program's Hudl database. In addition, White will oversee the program's student managers and analytics interns.
A member of the Deacs' staff since the 2022-23 school year, White spent the last four seasons as the Director of Analytics and Player Personnel. His role involved him serving as the head of the statistical and analytical team, helping analyze the program and break down future opponents. He also assisted in all recruiting and roster analysis. While out of season, White spent time preparing comprehensive individualized development programs for student-athletes by using data-driven analysis for improvement in a multitude of areas.
From Coach Gebbia
"Joey has been with us since the start and has really taken ownership of the analytics and scouting for the program. This new role will require him to be more central in our scouting, game-to-game, as well as with the recruiting process with both incoming freshmen and transfers. Over the last four years, he has developed a depth of knowledge of our style of play, which will be a great addition to our on-court staff. Moving Joey into an assistant coaching role is the natural next step for his career, and I'm excited to see how he continues to develop."
