Deacons Complete Second Round At Lady Gator

Gainesville, FL - The 15th-ranked Wake Forest women's golf squad lists 17th in the SunTrust Lady Gator Invitational in Gainesville, FL after carding a second-round score of 311. In two rounds, the Deacons have compiled a team score of 629.
Sophomore Nuria Clau leads the Deacons after two rounds of play, tying six other golfers for 24th place. Clau carded a 75 in the first two rounds for a 150 through 36 holes. Sophomore Caroline Stetler moved up to second place within the Deacon five, carding a team-low 74 on the second 18. She will enter the final round in a tie for 62nd place with a two-round 158. Junior Camille Lee also moved up, tying teammate Deb Means for 73rd place with a two-round 161. Lee carded an 80 and Means shot an 83 on the second 18 holes. Junior Veronica Prado-Lacoste wraps up the Deacon lineup in 90th place. She carded an 82 in the second round after finishing the first round with a 90.
Auburn leads the field after two rounds of play, recording a team score of 582 after shooting a tournament-low 290 on the second 18 holes. The Tigers are three strokes ahead of the University of Georgia. Georgia's Summer Sirmons sits atop the field individually, shooting a two-round 142 after completing the second day with a three-under 69.
The Deacs will tee off again in a shotgun start Sunday morning in the final round of the SunTrust Lady Gator Invitational in Gainesville, FL.
