Winston-Salem, NC - The fourth annual Bryan National Collegiate golf tournament will again be held at the Bryan Park Champions Course in Browns Summit, NC April 6-8. The tournament is hosted by Wake Forest University and UNC Greensboro.
The three-day event will feature 17 teams, including five ACC schools and five teams that competed in last season's NCAA Championships. Eight teams in this year's field are currently ranked in the top 50 by MasterCard and in GolfWeek's top 50 teams.
Wake Forest, UNC Greensboro, Duke, North Carolina and NC State, in its first year of competition, are among the North Carolina schools participating.
"We're excited about hosting this tournament again with UNCG," Wake Forest head coach Dianne Dailey said. "I think it's a good field. We have some outstanding teams coming - Duke, Tennessee and several others who competed in the NCAAs last year. It's going to be a very competitive field."
"This is going to be our most competitive tournament all year, and it gives us a good chance to compete with other teams in our conference and region," said UNCG head coach Ellen Lapierre. "It's the best field we've been in this season, and should be a good preview for the NCAAs for all the teams involved."
Each round begins at 8:30 am, with the final round on Sunday scheduled as a shotgun start. An awards ceremony will take place immediately following Sunday's play.
