Coaches Quotes

Georgia Tech head coach Danny Hall
"It's a game of inches. The left fielder made a great catch. The double play that the third baseman turned was a great play on his part. If either one of those balls gets in there we're going to score some runs. You have to give them credit and David Bush was outstanding in relief."

"We left too many guys on. We had some opportunities and didn't do it. We had an opportunity in the second inning, first and second, nobody out and couldn't get another run. That's baseball. The good thing about this tournament is we have another chance to play tomorrow and hopefully we can win the first game and have a chance to play somebody for the championship."

Wake Forest head coach George Greer
"It was a great game tonight. That was a great college baseball game.. (Steve) Kelly pitched exceptionally well. He made a couple of bad pitches to (Stephen) Ghutzman and (Jamie) D'Antona, but by far he was a superior pitcher. He was better than any we have seen in a long, long time. Kyle Sleeth had great movement. Coach (Moranda) has been working with his new arm slot. He got ahead of the hitters for the most part. When he was behind he was able to throw breaking and off-speed stuff for strikes."

"David Bush. What can I say about David Bush. I had scratched him from the line-up tonight. I told him after pitching the last two days there was no way he was going to pitch tonight. He came up in the seventh inning and said I want the ball. I told him no way. He told me again I want the ball, so I gave him the ball."
