Bielik Falls in Semifinals of NCAA Singles Championship

Stone Mountain, Ga. - Wake Forest tennis player Bea Bielik lost a tough match to eighth-seeded Lauren Kalvaria of Stanford in the semifinals of the NCAA Singles Championship on Friday morning. Bielik, seeded sixth in the bracket, fell 7-6(3), 6-3.
The finals in the singles championship will feature two Stanford players for the second straight year. In Friday's other semifinal, Stanford's Laura Granville, the defending national champion, defeated Notre Dame's Michelle Dasso 6-2, 6-3 to set up the all-Cardinal final.
Bielik finishes her season with a 34-5 overall record in singles and All-America honors in both singles and doubles for the second straight year.
