Garick Hill Named ACC Performer of the Week

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - Garick Hill, a senior on the Wake Forest men's cross country team was named the Performer of the Week by the ACC on Monday afternoon. The Advance, NC, native won the Mountaineer Open Friday evening in Boone, NC, leading the Demon Deacons to a first place finish in the 12-team field. Hill finished with a time of 24:50.00 on the 8,000-Meter Run.
Both Demon Deacon cross country teams will return to action Saturday, Sept. 15, when they host their only home event of the season, the Wake Forest Open on their campus cross country trail, Water Tower Field. Wake Forest will compete against 2000 NCAA qualifiers North Carolina and Georgetown. The men's race will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the women will run at 10:15 a.m.
