Wake Forest basketball fans will receive their first glimpse of the 2002-03 Demon Deacons Saturday at 9 a.m. with the annual Black/Gold Game at Reynolds Gym on the WFU campus.

Admission is free and the game will be completed long before the noon kickoff at Groves Stadium between Wake Forest and North Carolina.

The Demon Deacons, 21-13 a year ago, are one of the nation??s youngest teams with a total of nine freshmen and sophomores on the roster. Leading the list of returnees is senior All-American candidate Josh Howard, who is currently nursing a stress reaction (severe shin splints).

Wake Forest will play its first exhibition game Nov. 14 at Lawrence Joel Coliseum (7 p.m.). The Deacons open regular season play at Lawrence Joel Nov. 27 versus Yale (9 p.m.).
