CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's tennis team finished play at the Omni Hotels ITA Region II Championships Saturday, as David Loewenthal and Mike Murray advanced to the quarterfinals before losing.

Murray came back from behind to upset No. 37 Angelo Niculescu from South Carolina 4-6, 7-6 (6), 6-4 in the Round of 16, and then took No. 34 Florian Marquardt from Virginia Commonwealth three sets before losing 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (4) in the quarterfinals.

Loewenthal made quick work of Clayton Almeida from Winthrop 6-2, 6-4 in the Round of 16, but then fell 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 to Trystan Meniane from North Carolina in the quarterfinals.

David Bere lost 7-6 (5), 6-4 to Marquardt in the Round of 16.
