Altieri Qualifies for NCAA Championships

Wake Forest harrier Mike Altieri received an at-large bid to represent the Demon Deacons at the 2002 NCAA Cross Country Championships on Nov. 25 in Terre Haute, IN.
Thirty-eight individuals, the first four from each region and two additional qualifiers, were selected to participate in each championship. All individual qualifiers must finish in the top 25 in their region
The senior paced the Demon Deacons this past weekend at the NCAA Southeast Regionals, grabbing seventh place with a time of 30:21.5. Altieri was also named to the NCAA Southeast All-Regional squad.
Indiana State University will host the Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships at the Wabash Family Sports Center in Terre Haute, IN. The women's race will begin at noon, followed by the men's race at 1:15 p.m.
