Women's Tennis Hosts Illinois at Indoor Tennis Center

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women??s tennis team hosts a dual match versus Illinois on Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Indoor Tennis Center. The match, set to begin at 11:00 a.m., features two nationally-ranked teams, as Wake is ranked sixth and Illinois 34th.

Entering the spring season ranked 14th, the Demon Deacons vaulted eight places in this week??s rankings after getting off to a 4-1 start to the dual meet season. Wake has already played four opponents ranked 11th or higher this spring, with its lone loss coming against No. 1 Stanford in the quarterfinals of the National Team Indoor Championships last weekend.

Illinois is 5-1 on the season with its single loss coming at Tennessee, a team the Deacons have already defeated twice this season.

Saturday??s match at the Indoor Tennis Center is free and open to spectators.
