Wake Forest Baseball Cracks the Top Ten

Winston-Salem, N.C. - The Wake Forest baseball team crept into the top ten in this week's poll released by Collegiate Baseball magazine. The Demon Deacons rank in top ten for the first time since April 2000. Last week, Wake Forest was listed at No. 11.
With a 10-1 record, the Demon Deacons have their best 11-game record to start a season since 1964. Wake Forest has an opportunity to make history with a pair of wins this week. The Deacons have not started 12-1 to start a season since joining the ACC in 1954.
Wake Forest is in the Baseball America poll for the 15th consecutive week dating back to last season. This week, the Deacons are at No. 16.
