Wake Forest plays Clemson in the 3:00 p.m. quarterfinal Friday at the ACC Championship, which will be played at the Millbrook Exchange Tennis Center in Raleigh, NC.
The Demon Deacons are 9-29 all-time against the Tigers and 0-3 against them in the ACC Championship. Wake Forest won the regular season match 5-2 at Clemson on April 5.

Wake Forest is led by sophomore David Loewenthal, who is ranked #40 in singles and fell out of the top 60 doubles rankings for the first time all season this week. Loewenthal has played at No. 1 at singles and doubles for the Demon Deacons all season. He owns a 29-11 record in singles (14-5 at No. 1, 4-3 in the ACC) and a 25-10 mark in doubles, (12-7 at No. 1, 5-2 in the ACC) along with partner Trent Brendon.
Derrick Spice, a true freshman, leads the team with 35 singles wins. Playing at No. 3 for the Demon Deacons, Spice owns a record of 11-2 (6-1 in the ACC) at the No. 3 flight. He broke the single-season school record for singles victories, which was 30, halfway through the spring season and is at 35-11 going into the ACC Championship
Justin Kaufmann, the lone senior in Wake Forest's starting lineup, only needs one more singles victory to take sole possession of second place on the school career singles victories list. Two more wins in doubles would tie Kaufmann for fifth place on the school career doubles victories list. He is 23-11 in singles (12-5 at No. 6, 5-3 in the ACC) and 13-11 in doubles (8-8 at No. 3, 3-3 in the ACC).
