Josh Howard Named National, ACC Player Of The Week

Wake Forest senior forward Josh Howard, who scored 53 points and blocked nine shots in wins over 17th-ranked Maryland and Georgia Tech last week, was named the national player of the week by Fox Sports.com and the ACC Player of the Week today.

For the week, Howard added 14 rebounds, six assists and four steals. He was 15-of-30 from the field, 4-of-10 from three-point range, and 19-of-20 from the free throw line.

In the win over Georgia Tech Sunday, Howard had 30 points, six rebounds, five blocked shots, three assists and one steal.

Howard earns ACC Player of the Week honors for the second time this season (Dec. 9).
