Women's Golf to play in Franklin Street Partners Invitational

Winston-Salem, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's golf team enters the third tournament this season in Chapel Hill, N.C. to play in the Franklin Street Partners Invitational. The 54-hole tournament at the Finley Golf Course begins Friday, Oct. 3 and ends Oct. 5. The course is 6,285 yards long and has a par of 72.
Eight other teams are competing in the event including Auburn, Duke, Florida, North Carolina, NC State, Oklahoma State, Tennessee and Texas. Last year the Deacons finished in seventh place out of 15 teams.
Wake Forest is sending five golfers to the event including Mandy Goins, Christine Hallstrom, Ashley Hoagland, Deborah Means, and Jessica Castle. Goins is coming off of a top 20 finish at the Mason Rudolph where she finished 17th.
