Spice's Run At ITA Regionals Falls Short

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.-- Wake Forest's Derrick Spice was eliminated from the ITA Regionals after being defeated 4-6, 6-7(7) by Duke's Ludovic Walter on Sunday. Walter, the tournament's second-seed, went on to beat William and Mary's Jeff Kader in the singles championship match later in the afternoon. Walter and his doubles partner Jason Zimmerman also took home the ITA doubles title.

This tournament marked the end of Wake Forest's fall tennis schedule. The Demon Deacons will return to action on January 16, 2004 when they host the ACC Indoor Tournament.
