Miscellaneous notes -- Duke not only extended its ACC winning streak to 44 games, but the Blue Devils also recorded its 18th consecutive road victory.
-- After limiting its opponents to only 32% from the floor in their first five games, Duke shot 51.8% from the field Friday night. The Blue Devils are the only team this season to eclipse the 50% shooting clip against the Deacs.
-- Duke outrebounded Wake Forest, 45-28, including 18-16 on the offensive end. After winning the battle of the boards against Nichols State on Nov. 28 and #8 Purdue on Nov. 29, the Deacs have gotten outrebounded by Marshall and the Blue Devils 15 and 17, respectively.
-- Entering the contest, Duke averaged nearly 24 assists on its 35 made field goals per game. The Blue Devils continued Friday night as Duke registered 23 assists on 29 field goals.
-- Wake Forest sophomore Liz Strunk eclipsed her season high for assists with three helpers in the first half. Strunk dished out a pair of assists on three separate occasions this season.
-- Demon Deacon senior Tonia Brown set a Deacon single half high for shots with nine field goal attempts in the opening 20 minutes Friday night.
-- Wake Forest placed three players in double figures Friday night. It was the fifth time in the Deacs' six games this season that they have registered at least three players in double digits.
-- Freshman Maya Bennett, who had not scored in four previous appearances this season, scored the first three points of her career late in the second half.
-- Wake Forest limited Duke All-American Alana Beard to only nine points, snapping a streak of 23 straight games with double figures.
