Women's Tennis Shutout At Florida, 7-0

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Wake Forest women's tennis team suffered a 7-0 loss Sunday afternoon to No. 5 Florida. The Gators swept doubles play for a 1-0 lead and then swept all six singles matches for the victory.
The Demon Deacons' Aimee Smith took the first set from 15th-ranked Lindsay Dawaf, but lost the second and then fell in the supertiebreaker 4-6, 6-0 (10-2) at No. 3 singles.
Wake Forest falls to 1-15 with the loss and returns to action next week when the Demon Deacons travel to the Lone Star State to take on No. 29 Texas A&M on March 29 in College Station, Texas and then No. 43 Texas on March 23 in Austin, Texas.
